El Cajon – An early-morning rollover crash sent emergency crews to the 900 block of E. Lexington Avenue on Saturday, where a Jeep Liberty ended up on its side after striking two parked cars.
The crash occurred just after 2:00 AM. According to witnesses and emergency responders, the impact appeared to be at low speed, yet it was enough to flip the SUV. The female driver was initially trapped inside the vehicle.
Heartland Fire crews and El Cajon Police arrived quickly. They accessed the back hatch of the SUV, but the woman ultimately climbed out through the sunroof. She was able to walk to the gurney under her own power but appeared dazed.
Police officers evaluated her for DUI but determined she did not appear intoxicated. The cause of the crash remains unknown.
