One Dead in Santee Kitchen-Knife Attack
[SANTEE, Mon Sept 14, 2:08 pm]
A man is dead after a stabbing at a home on Grand Fork Drive in Santee Monday afternoon, according to unofficial sources.
The call came in around 2:08 p.m. as an assault with a knife. Medics on scene reported a man believed to be about 60 years old with a deep stab wound to the left chest and additional wounds to the face. He was in cardiac arrest when paramedics reached him. Crews performed CPR for several minutes before requesting a pronouncement of death from a physician.
Sources also referenced a possible second patient being transported. SD Slackers has not been able to confirm that, and no information about a suspect has been released.
On scene, roughly a dozen San Diego County Sheriff’s patrol units have the residential street taped off. Deputies are holding the scene while waiting for homicide detectives to arrive. With school just letting out, a number of neighborhood kids have gathered nearby to watch.
Reached by phone, the Sheriff’s Office said it had no details yet, that homicide detectives were arriving, and that a press release would follow.
SD Slackers is not naming the victim until officials do. This story will be updated.
