[SAN DIEGO — Wed Feb. 11, 1:25 a.m.]
A late-night fight between two men living together at an apartment complex in San Diego ended with one man stabbed multiple times early Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported around 1:25 a.m. at Keeney Plaza Apartments on Keeney Street. One man suffered two stab wounds to the chest along with cuts to his arms. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The second man involved had a small stab wound but declined medical treatment at the scene. Conflicting information from responders indicated the two men may have been either roommates or brothers.
Neighbors stated that one of the men briefly walked into the street and acted as though he was not involved in the incident.
Because the apartment complex sits near a city boundary, officers from both San Diego Police and La Mesa Police responded. LMPD detained one of the men at the scene while Heartland Fire Engine 11 and Medic 11 handled medical care. The scene and suspect were turned over to SDPD for investigation.
No additional suspects were reported.
