SAN DIEGO (City Heights) — San Diego police and fire crews responded late Saturday night to a crash on Home Avenue where a white minivan slammed into the back of a parked Suburban — but the driver was nowhere to be found.
The collision was reported about 11:37 p.m. in the 4000 block of Home Avenue near Fairmount Park. Firefighters arrived to find the Suburban unoccupied and the minivan heavily damaged. Police searched the surrounding area but did not locate anyone associated with the van.
No injuries were reported, and investigators are working to determine who was driving and whether impairment was a factor.
