SAN DIEGO — A woman was taken to the hospital but in custody early Sunday morning after rolling her blue sedan off the westbound 94 between Massachusetts and College Avenue.
CHP officers say the vehicle veered off the right shoulder, struck a concrete barrier, and flipped into a ditch, stopping just short of a nearby two-story home. The driver, the car’s only occupant, was already outside the vehicle when officers arrived.
Paramedics checked her for injuries and transported her to Scripps Mercy Hospital. CHP officers performed a breathalyzer test while she was being loaded into the ambulance and confirmed she was well above the legal limit.
Although early callers reported flames and smoke, no fire was found on scene. The car was winched upright and removed by a tow crew before dawn.
