A rollover crash slowed traffic on westbound State Route 54 near Woodman Avenue Wednesday night, but the driver walked away without serious injuries.
The crash happened around 9:12 p.m. in an active construction zone where the far-right lane was already blocked with cones. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Toyota pickup overturned along the right shoulder. Despite the crash being initially logged as a major-injury incident, the driver appeared unhurt and was checked out by medics on scene.
Tow crews were called in to clear the pickup.
A witness reported seeing a red truck leaving the area shortly after the crash, though CHP has not confirmed whether it was involved.
The incident caused traffic delays in the construction zone while crews worked to remove the vehicle. CHP continues to investigate.
