Spring Valley — A two-car crash at the intersection of Jamacha Boulevard and San Diego Street late Wednesday night brought out firefighters and CHP officers but ended without serious injuries.
The collision was first reported around 9:22 p.m. and involved a Lyft hybrid vehicle, which deployed its airbags, and a second car that ended up further east on Jamacha Boulevard. According to CHP radio traffic, debris was scattered across all lanes, and residents reported one of the cars may have briefly struck a nearby house.
A witness told us they believed one driver ran a red light, causing the crash, though CHP has not confirmed that detail.
Tow crews worked to clear the scene, and traffic was briefly impacted while first responders managed debris and the involved vehicles. Despite the damage, the incident was later reclassified by CHP as a non-injury crash.
