EDM Festival Lights Up the Bayfront

A waterfront EDM concert lit up downtown San Diego Sunday night — quite literally — as powerful stage lighting at the County Administration Building sent flashes into the low clouds, sparking curiosity and confusion across the city. The event, which began around 8 PM, was loud and lively enough that it attracted crowds beyond the ticketed gates. Dozens of people parked along Harbor Drive to enjoy the music from a distance, dancing and soaking in the vibe without paying a dime. Thanks to the open waterfront and booming speakers, the music carried well beyond the official perimeter. On social media, some residents posted photos and videos of flashing lights bouncing off the clouds and asked what was going on, with guesses ranging from a movie shoot to a fire or drone show. But it was simply a well-produced concert. The event wrapped up promptly at 10 PM without incident.
