At approximately 10:39 p.m., El Cajon Police received reports of gunfire in the area. Video obtained from the scene appears to show three shots fired from a moving vehicle as it exited the park. The vigil was being held for the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on April 13, where a man was shot in the chest and later died from his injuries. ECPD has categorized the latest event as “SHOTS FIRED/HEARD” in their incident logs.
